July 2007

Mallory completed a one week Horse Camp learning to care for and handle a horse. Her favorite horse of the week was Pepper.

We also joined our good friends, Jeff and Anna Lee, for a week on Crystal Beach. Their girls, Jenna and Amanda, kept Mallory and Collin busy with crab catchin' and sand castle buildin'.

June 2007

Made a visit back to the family farm of our good friends, Jack and Doris Hart, in Glen Rose, Texas.

May 2007

Mallory wrapped up her first year of Shining Stars with a dance performance that made her parents and brother, Collin, very proud!

Easter 2007

We spent Easter with Kelly's family in Arlington. It was also a sad time as Kelly's mom, Ann Hill, had passed away the Thursday before Easter. We celebrated her life along with the Risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

White Bluebonnets

On our way to Arlington the day before Easter, a driving snow storm just happened upon us north of Waco. Yes, that is the Texas state flower (Bluebonnet)covered in snow.

Tooth Fairy Coming to Round Rock

Mallory lost her first tooth tonight! She was very courageous as Daddy made multiple attempts to set the tooth free. Daddy was informed by Mommy shortly after the tooth was placed in her Tooth Fairy pillow that the pay out today is in bills and not coins. Inflation.

Yee Haw!

The kids attended their first rodeo during spring break...the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo. We watched dogs heard cattle, saw a trick horse, hung out in the petting zoo, sat on tractors, rode some carnival rides and attended a BBQ Cook Off. Fun stuff!

March Madness

Hope you find a team to root for in the NCAA basketball tourney. Both the Aggies and Longhorns are playing, so pick one!
Collin is getting better at riding at his bmx bike. No word on whether he has lined up sponsors for his racing career.
Mallory is pictured next to the "tornado house" on the ranch behind our house. We think it is 75 to 100 years old according to a local 90 year old familiar with the area. She said indians once lived there.
And, Kelly celebrated her 43rd birthday on the 15th. She awoke to breakfast tacos and a Cafe Mocha, followed by some time alone shopping, followed by dinner at Chuys, and wrapping up with strawberry cake and a few gifts. Looking good!

San Antonio Zoo

Mallory and her daddy recently attended an overnight trip to the San Antonio Zoo with other dads and their kids. The program was called Roars and Snores. And, there were plenty of both!

Mallory was able to get up close to many animals, spiders, snakes, etc. She was not too crazy about the South American Scorpion, but she loved the jaguar and cheetah. She did not enjoy dissecting the poop of a barn owl to identify what it ate. We determined it ate a small mouse.

Shining Stars Dance Competition

Mallory had a dance competition recently with her dance troupe, Shining Stars. She had two routines, 4 hours apart, and did fantastic. Taking after her mommy, she really knows how to show the cheese.

Monster Truck Rally

The kids attended their first Monster Truck Rally on 2/9/07. Collin was in Heaven - getting to see and hear the real thing. Mallory was not so sure after breathing in the methanol and carbon emissions, but she said the permanent damage to her lungs was worthwhile. Collin was pretty impressed with Bigfoot since it most resembled some of his toys.

Christmas 2006

Santa was very good to Mallory and Collin this year. Mallory was knee deep in clothes this year and Collin added to his Hot Wheels collection and Cars Memorabilia.

We enjoyed seeing family in Round Rock and Arlington. Hoping those we missed had a wonderful Christmas!
